1924 Hilo Country Club opens with 9 holes; it is the second golf layout on the Big
Island of Hawaii. The course is sold in 1974, and no
longer exists.
1926 Francis H. Brown wins the Manoa Cup for the 1926 Hawaiian Amateur Match Play
Championship at Oahu Country Club, his fifth win. The tournament format changes
from stroke play to match play in 1926.
